It’s great any time you get to see one of your own in the news, but it’s even better when the thing that connects the two of you is the reason for the story. AAGSNC’s own Judith Collins is featured in an article in the San Leandro, CA Patch about her genealogy research and the fact that she teaches it to others. Judith is an active member of AAGSNC and also teaches the African American Genealogy Research Workshop at the Oakland Family History Center on the Fourth Wednesday of the month. Be sure to check out the article which features photos from her family, how Judith got started doing her research and even has a shout out to AAGSNC!
