New Illinois Law Makes Birth Certificates Available for Adoptees
Signed into law on May 21, 2010, the state of Illinois is now making birth certificates available for adoptees born before January 1, 1946. In addition, adoptees born after this date can write the state’s adoption registry for a copy of their birth certificate. More from the Chicago Tribune.
