Monthly General Meetings

Who can attend: 

AAGSNC general meetings are open to members and the public. 

Frequency:

Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month except July and August, and include a presentation on topics of interest to help further African American family history research, including breaking brick walls, DNA or genetic genealogy, researching enslaved ancestors, and much more! 

Time:

1:30 pm. until 4:00 pm. 

Place:

We hold Hybrid Meetings, which are virtual via Zoom, and in-person locally at the Oakland Family Search Center, 4766 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, CA, 94602.

Board Meetings

The AAGSNC Board of Directors’ Meetings are held quarterly.

Executive Committee Meetings

The Executive Committee Meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month except July and August at 12:00 PM (immediately prior to the general Monthly Meeting).
